1.⁠ ⁠Rental Agreement

    By renting equipment from DenCorp Bates (Pty) Ltd, you agree to these terms and conditions. All rentals are subject to availability and confirmation

    by DenCorp.

    The renter is required to provide valid identification and complete a rental form before the agreement may be finalised.

2.⁠ ⁠Payment Terms

    •⁠ ⁠A 100% deposit (equal to the rental amount) is required at the time of your rental to secure the booking.  

    •⁠ ⁠100% of the rental is required 2 days prior to your event to release items. 

    •⁠ ⁠Payment can be made via EFT, credit card, or other approved methods.

    •⁠ ⁠Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of the booking.

3.⁠ ⁠Rental Period

    •⁠ ⁠The rental period starts and ends at the times agreed upon in the rental contract.

    •⁠ ⁠Late returns will incur additional charges the full rental price for each day or portion of a day after scheduled return time. 

    •⁠ ⁠Extensions to the rental period must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.

    •⁠ ⁠Subject to inspection and testing of rented items, 100% of the deposit will be returned. 

4.⁠ ⁠Equipment Usage

    •⁠ ⁠Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and operated by qualified individuals or supervised by an employee of Dencorp.

    •⁠ ⁠The renter is responsible for ensuring proper handling and storage of the equipment.

    •⁠ ⁠Any modification, repair, or tampering with the equipment is strictly prohibited and will result in penalties equal to the retail value of a new

      device of the same brand and make.

5.⁠ ⁠Damage and Loss

    •⁠ ⁠The renter assumes full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment during the rental period.

    •⁠ ⁠Costs for repairs or replacement will be charged to the renter and must be settled within 7 days.

    •⁠ ⁠DenCorp will inspect all equipment upon return to assess its condition.

6.⁠ ⁠Cancellation and Refund Policy

    •⁠ ⁠Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental period will receive a full refund.

    •⁠ ⁠Cancellations within 24-48 hours will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

    •⁠ ⁠No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental period.

7.⁠ ⁠Delivery and Collection

    •⁠ ⁠Delivery and collection services are available upon request and subject to additional fees based on distance.

    •⁠ ⁠The renter must ensure someone is available to receive the equipment at the agreed-upon time.

    •⁠ ⁠DenCorp is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses or unavailability of the renter.

8.⁠ ⁠Inspection and Condition

    •⁠ ⁠The renter must inspect the equipment upon receipt and immediately report any defects or issues.

    •⁠ ⁠Failure to report issues within 1 hour of receiving the equipment will imply acceptance of its condition.

9.⁠ ⁠Liability

    •⁠ ⁠DenCorp is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages arising from the use of the equipment.

    •⁠ ⁠The renter indemnifies DenCorp against all claims, losses, or damages caused by the renter’s use or misuse of the equipment.

10.⁠ ⁠Insurance

    •⁠ ⁠DenCorp does not provide insurance for rented equipment.

    •⁠ ⁠The renter is encouraged to obtain insurance to cover the value of the equipment during the rental period.

11.⁠ ⁠Force Majeure

    •⁠ ⁠DenCorp shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or failure to fulfill its obligations due to events beyond its control, including

      but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or pandemics.

13.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

    •⁠ ⁠These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.

    •⁠ ⁠Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

    •⁠ ⁠The renter shall be responsible for the full legal costs of Dencorp on the attorney-and-own-client scale if any attorneys are used to

      recover items or payments.
